How we make them

Embroidered in thread

Every specimen is machine embroidered in coloured thread: on the front of a cap or a bucket hat, on the folded cuff of a beanie, on the chest of a tee, a crewneck or a hoodie, and on the front of a cotton tote. The one exception is the Specimen Plate tee, printed on the back with a small embroidered bee on the chest.

Made for you after you order

We keep no stock: your piece is made after you order by a specialist production partner, and it arrives between 4 and 12 Nov. Shipping is free and tracked to 74 countries.

Drawn like a specimen

Every design is an original by Wild by miniblank, drawn the way a collector sets out a drawer: insects from above with their wings spread, mushrooms in side view, flowers as pressed stems, in a few thread colours so the stitching comes out clean.

One email for each new design

We write when a new specimen or design arrives, and nothing else.
